How to Prevent a Heating Emergency

Whether it’s the middle of the night, a holiday, a weekend, or during regular business hours, a heating emergency is serious. If you need emergency oil delivery or you think something isn’t right with your equipment, please call (413) 253-5999 instead of ordering oil online. Use this list to do what you can to avoid any heating emergencies in your home:

• Keep an Eye on Your Fuel Tank: When you manage your own fuel deliveries and order oil online, it’s very important to keep a close eye on your fuel tank. Check your tank gauge regularly so that you know how much fuel you have. We recommend that you order oil when your tank gauge reads ¼ full so that you have plenty of fuel to last between your order and the delivery date. Surner Discount Oil delivers fuel within 5–7 business days of ordering.
• Schedule Regular Tune-Ups: Having your heating system maintained once a year by a heating service technician can help identify any minor issues before they become major problems. Plus, an annual heating tune-up will help your equipment run more efficiently and reduce the risk of breakdowns.
